The manure is in the soil
Mestkruidag valt in goede aarde

At 7:00 o’clock in the morning on Saturday 7th of March, at the garden complex behind the Faculty Club, about 25 cubic meter of cow manure was waiting to be transferred. They are purchased annually by the members of the organic farming association Drienerlor. “The first member arrived at 9:00 o’clock and in half an hour, the other 24 members arrived and worked together.” wrote in the newsletter of the association. “It was a beautiful day with nice sunshine and there was a coffee break with krentenwegge at 10:30.”
The Rector Magnificus Ed Brinksma joined the manure porters after the coffee break. He side: “This even is not strange to him, since his father and grandfather familiar with the farming.” In the afternoon, the members were served with traditional pancakes, bacon and apple which are belonging to such a hardworking day. All members took the delicious pancake with the syrup or brown sugar,. so as the daughter of van Ed smulde er van was enjoying it. At the end, the 25 cubic meter cow manure and the nice weather were gone at 14:30.
