Welcome to my website!
I am a Post-Doc researcher in Human Media Interaction group at University of Twente, the Netherlands. I have recently returned from a visiting researcher position from Nokia Research Center, Helsinki. I have a PhD in Human Computer Interaction from University of Twente. During my PhD, I worked as an intern at the design groups of Elsevier Science, Satama Interactive (now LBi Lost Boys) and at Intelligent User Interfaces group of DFKI Saarbrücken, Germany. I have a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Lancaster University, UK and an under-graduate degree in Computer Science from Gujarat University, India.
I have over 40 publications in well known HCI venues, including, CHI, ECSCW, UbiComp, NordiCHI, MobileHCI, MLMI, INTERACT, DUX, and British-HCI. I have also worked on several patent applications while at Nokia.
On Feb 18th 2011, I successfully defended my PhD thesis titled "Designing for Awareness: An Experience-focused HCI Perspective" in the presence of the following HCI experts: Prof. Alan Dix, Prof. Liam Bannon, Prof. Gerrit van der Veer and Prof. Anton Nijholt.
