Ardjan Zwartjes successfully defended his doctoral thesis 
On 24 February 2017, Ardjan Zwartjes successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled " Adaptive Naive Bayes Classification for Wireless Sensor Networks”. The research has been performed under supervision of Prof. Paul Havinga (promotor), Prof. Gerard Smit (promotor), and Prof. Johann Hurink (assistant-promotor).

In this talk, she discussed privacy concerns related to personal wireless devices.

Plenary talk at the IEEE Sensors Conference 
On 2 Nov 2016, Paul havinga gave a plenary talk at the IEEE Sensors Conference, which was held in Orlando, Florida, USA. The theme of his talk was animal monitoring using wireless sensor networks from various points of view, ranging from agriculture, sports, and wildlife monitoring.
