Boston. Science. City. Art.

At the preconference of the Society for Affective Science in Boston I gave an invited talk in the session on Affective Computing. We had taken a few days extra to explore Boston a bit further. We loved it.

We spent about six hours in the Museum of Fine Arts and saw less than half what is on show. It is simply amazing. Luckily they have nice food as well.

Another Weekend in Paris

After the Aria-Valuspa meeting, we enjoyed another weekend in Paris. As always, we went to the Palais de Tokyo to see the art. As always it was really good, although I should say, this time it was extremely good. The Centre Pompidou offered Le Corbusier – which was slightly boring – but also Mona Hatoum. At the Fondation Louis Vuitton the theme was Pop-Art. It was good fun.

Lunch and Dinner-wise, we had no reasons to complain about anything. We recommend “Chez Simone” (Rue Pascal), “Le Pas Sage” (Passage du Grand Cerf – see picture) and particularly Clamato (Rue de Charonne).

Paris Shopping August 2012

Results from shopping in Paris Рno books allowed this time (except for the Macarons book by Pierre Herm̩). We needed some ingredients for cooking so we spend some time at G. Detou + Bon March̩. Lunch at Mariage Freres (no picture this time) where I bought an old-plant first flush Darjeeling Рthe big bag (the leaves take up about 2 times as much space as a regular tea).
